“ABOUT ME”
My first Aussie was named Chester, bought from a breeder in Clairemont (suburb of San Diego) and he was a red tri. In 1991, my roommate and I decided to have Chester signed up for obedience classes. Unfortunately, I wanted to Show and he had a black nose…not a recognized color. A couple years later I got my first “Show Dog” named Amber. She was a very dear dog to me…good with kids, people and other dogs. She went to my many classes at University of California at San Diego. She was the first dog that received obedience titles, agility titles, champion titles and eventually went to Hall of Fame Dam status. Since then I have put 4 obedience titles, 2 herding titles, several championships and too many agility titles to count in the 17 years of being involved with such a special breed. Just recently, I have been graciously given the privilege to judge the Australian Shepherd as an ASCA Provisional Breeder Judge (#4549).
I have learned one thing for sure in all these years…one never stops learning, so humble yourself and listen to others and learn from them.
My judging assignments:
August 2008 - New Mexico
August 2008 - Ocean View ASC
